First Research Stay of the Moldovan Team (October 20 – November 21, 2025)
The first research visit of the Moldovan team (October 20–November 21, 2025) marked a fundamental step in establishing bilateral cooperation within the MIGRoM project.
During the research visit, Moldovan and Romanian researchers worked closely together to define a common theoretical and methodological framework, aligning their approaches to studying youth mobility and human capital flows.
The stay included strategic planning meetings with the management of the Gheorghe Zane Institute for Economic and Social Research, practical methodological sessions on the systematic review of PRISMA, joint development of keyword lists, and critical examination of existing scientific literature.
Comparative discussions focused on recent migration trends among young people in Moldova and Romania, the factors driving educational and professional mobility, and the broader socioeconomic implications for both countries. Participation in thematic workshops, including training on digital mapping tools such as Philcarto and Litmaps, further strengthened the team’s analytical capacities.
This research mobility improved scientific cooperation, established a coherent framework for subsequent phases of the project, and opened avenues for joint dissemination activities within academic networks and international conferences.
